Ultimate flexibility using the new Central Control Unit
Using the new Central Control Unit (CCU), the DCN Next Generation can feature a mix of both wired and wireless delegate units. Just one CCU is capable of controlling up to 245 wired and 245 wireless units. Experience the exceptional convenience when expanding your system or installing units in difficult-to-reach seats. The wireless signal is encrypted by means of an advanced encryption algorithm making it a secure system against eavesdropping.  Moreover, an Ethernet connection to the control PC, provides far greater flexibility in locating the PC as the modern connection is capable of bridging longer distances without the need of any converters.

Powerful conference software suite
Using additional application software, your meeting efficiency is accelerated to new heights. With the software, the operator can easily set-up the necessary requirements and authorisations for each meeting. These include the synoptic layout, the delegates, the interpreters, the agenda, list of speakers, voting sessions, and more. The suite includes a wide variety of options for data like XML streams for advanced logging features and API functionality for interfacing with 3rd party applications. The DCN Conference Software Suite is remarkably ergonomic and is optimised for standard touch screen monitors, making it intuitive and easy to use.

Breaking through language barriers
With up to 31 interpretation channels plus floor, the DCN Next Generation easily handles the most demanding requirements of the international conference world. Delegates can select the floor language or any of the 31 interpretation channels using the built-in channel selector in the delegate units. For wireless convenience, Integrus pocket receivers can be used to listen to the interpretation channels.

Full range of voting facilities
Using the electronic voting facility helps optimise the efficiency of your meetings. Voting results can easily be stored, printed out and displayed to the participants, contributing to the efficiency of meetings.

Delegate registration and identification
Conference participants can be registered and identified with PIN codes, ID cards or with biometrics such as fingerprint readers. It is also possible to program individual authorisations so that delegates may only use certain functionality if they have the rights for it. Alternatively, it is possible to implement a ‘simple’ registration without identification by using a push button on the delegate unit.

Audio expansion with redundant fiber optic backbone
Audio expanders (analogue or digital) can be easily connected for audio logging and/or distributing audio to other rooms without any loss of quality. CobraNet(TM) devices are available for real-time distribution of digital audio over Ethernet networks. All the devices are connected using a loss-free high-speed fiber optic cable which also creates a secure and redundant backbone.

From small meetings…
On its most straightforward level, the DCN Next Generation effortlessly handles speaking and listening without the need for an operator.  Optionally, the system can automatically show an image of the current speaker including the speakers’ name on monitors or large screens. This makes the DCN System highly suitable for video conferencing. The system supports five kinds of voting, parliamentary, for/against, multiple choice, opinion polling and audience response.

… to advanced international conferences
At its most advanced level, it is an integrated and multilingual communication infrastructure for facilitating and managing the most complex of international conferences – conferences that can include thousands of participants.
The system supports 31 interpretation channels plus floor. Modular software solutions offer complete conference management including features like attendance registration and access control using ID-cards and/or pin-codes.
To give delegates and audience a greater freedom of movement, interpreted languages can also be directed to wireless Integrus pocket receivers.

Keeping pace with your changing needs
DCN Next Generation can be extended with wireless discussion units for larger conferences or difficult to reach positions. For even larger set-ups, more CCUs can be added to create systems up to 4000 delegates. The entire set-up can be interfaced to third-party systems, including broadcast, building management, and public address facilities.
